Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Teased Ahead Of Its India Debut At Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025

India’s leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has released an official teaser image of its first ever all-electric car; i.e. the e Vitara. Sharing this update the company revealed that the production ready version of this car will be introduced at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 (previously known as the Indian Auto Expo).

After being spotted testing on several occasions in Europe, Suzuki debuted the production ready e Vitara globally last month in Milan, Italy. This e Vitara is the company’s first ever battery electric vehicle (BEV). Back then the company had also shared that this EV is scheduled to go into production from 2025 Spring at the company's Gujarat facility.

Now the company has shared an official teaser image of the e Vitara in India ahead of its official debut in the country. With this update the company also revealed that the e Vitara will be manufactured in India for the world making use of the Make in India for the world initiative. This also aligns with the vision of the Indian government to make India a global automotive manufacturing hub for the world.

The upcoming Maruti Suzuki e Vitara electric SUV is expected to be introduced with two battery pack options - 49 kWh and 61 kWh with the former likely to be offered with 2WD and the latter likely to be offered with 2WD and 4WD options. The 49 kWh 2WD version can have a power output of 142 bhp and 189 Nm of torque, the 61 kWh 2WD version can have a power output of 171 bhp and 189 Nm of torque and the 61 kWh 4WD version can have a power output of 181 bhp and 300 Nm of torque.
